Membership Types


Ordinary Membership: any person over the age of 18 years is entitled to all privilages and subject to all obligations of the association and is entitled to one vote at meetings and elections.

Family Membership: shall consist of one Ordinary member plus up to three other nominated members of a single family unit including children up to the age of 18, and provided that each family membership is entitled to no more than one vote.

Associate Membership: shall be a person over the age of 18 and a member of an affiliated club approved by the management committee or reside outside a 200km radius of the Association Clubhouse located in Cairns. Associate members shall be entitled to all the privileges and subject to all the obligations of the Association but shall not be entitled to vote at meetings nor take part in the management of the Association.

Life Membership: shall be a current member of the association recognised for distinguished service or significant contribution to the association and entitled to all privileges, subject to all obligations of the association and entitled to one vote. Life members shall be voted by a majority of members at the AGM and shall not be required to pay subscriptions, levies or other dues to association.

Honorary Membership: shall be a person recognised for their contibution or assistance with the advancement of the association and is entitled to all the privileges but not take part in the management nor entitled to vote. Honorary membership is conferred on any person by resolution of the Management Committee for a period on one year and subject to review annually.
